 ePay Punjab offers an easy and hassle-free way for the resident of Punjab to effortlessly pay their taxes and other government-related payments online, making their lives simpler and stress-free. It is established by coordinated efforts of the Punjab Finance Department and PITB, making it possible for individuals and businesses to make payments over the Internet.

It integrates with the State Bank of Pakistan and other banks, making it possible for the people of Punjab to pay using different online methods. Since it began in the 2019-2020-year, the App has grown to manage payments for 26 different taxes including vehicle taxes in 11 departments throughout Punjab through ATM, internet banking, mobile phone banking, etc.

Citizens of Punjab can access vehicle details by visiting MTMIS Punjab and paying token tax and registration fees through the ePay app. The facility provided by the government of Punjab reduces in-person visits and makes the whole process faster and easier This platform is compatible with multiple payment methods and will soon be linked to the federal Raast system, making the transfer of provincial funds to the state bank more efficient.

Online procedure for payment of token tax of vehicle in Punjab

  1. Download epay app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
  2. Form a new account to start using the application.
  3. Tap on the token tax section from the Excise and Taxation Department of Punjab
  4. Enter the registration number of the vehicle (LME-429 or LAN-3331).
  5.  After the generation of the challan, a seven-digit PSID number will appear.
  6. With the seven-digit PISD number, pay token tax through ATM, internet/mobile banking, TELCO network agents, mobile wallet, or over the counter (OTC).

Online procedure for transferring a car through ePay in Punjab

  • Download ePay app on an Android or iOS device.
  •  Open the app and go to the Excise and Taxation section.
  • Select car transfer.
  • Fill it with the vehicle registration number.
  • The app will provide crucial details like the last paid token tax, the owner’s name, and the transfer fee.
  • Tap “generate challan “to create a unique PSID number required to pay the transfer fees.
  • Remit the transfer fee through any online payment platform.
  • A unique reference number will appear.
  • The buyer and seller must visit their nearest NADRA office to give biometrics identification by using that reference number.
  • The car will be inspected at the Excise and Taxation office after the biometric identification is completed
  • The official process of the car transfer is completed.
